How to connect a proxy

Three steps from sign up to your first request. There is nothing to install.

  1. 1

    Get and save a token

Grab an access token when you sign up and keep it in a .txt file. That one token unlocks both the dashboard and the proxy as your password.

  2. 2

    Top up your balance

Top up any amount from $20. The balance covers every proxy type.

  3. 3

    Enter the host and send

Enter host, user name and token into your current tool. Include a country in the user name to route through it.

Check your first request

curl -x http://gate.proxytow.com:7000 -U "user-country-ca:YOUR_TOKEN" https://api.ipify.org?format=json

What people use proxies for

Built for tasks that view public web data through other regions or split heavy request volume over a wide IP pool.

  • AI training data

Spread document collection over a wide IP pool. Load per address stays light, which keeps long runs going smoothly.

  • Ad verification

Use local IPs to view ads exactly the way people abroad see them.

  • Price and stock tracking

Pull shop prices and inventory at set times, then line up the figures region by region.

  • Running multiple accounts

Pair every account with a dedicated static ISP IP, keeping where it signs in from steady.

  • SERP tracking

Run one keyword across many countries and cities, then see where you rank in each.

  • Market research abroad

Pull reviews, bestseller positions and news from overseas shops to spot trends by region.

Connect proxies to your code and automation tools

Anything that takes a proxy address works right away, with zero setup. In the samples below, swap YOUR_TOKEN for the token issued when you registered.

Buy residential proxies: what is ProxyTow, and whose work does it suit?

If your work depends on seeing websites the way ordinary visitors in many regions see them, ProxyTow was built for exactly that. Price tracking, ad verification and rank monitoring all fit here. The shop carries seven proxy products, from rotating residential and mobile to ISP, datacenter and IPv6, and every one of them is charged against the same prepaid USDT wallet.

With a residential proxy, your traffic exits via an address a broadband provider gave to somebody's home connection. Target sites treat it like an everyday visitor, so blocks tend to be rarer than on datacenter ranges. For bulk jobs where throughput and unit cost matter most, datacenter or IPv6 plans usually make more economic sense.

Solo developers often begin with a few gigabytes, while teams order static IPs by the hundred and assign them per account. Both scales live in one dashboard. The sections below walk through which proxy fits which job.

Rotating residential proxies: fresh IP every request, or a sticky session?

You get both. By default every request exits from a fresh residential IP; put a session label into the username and that IP holds for up to 90 minutes. Host and port stay identical, and only the username changes between modes.

Per-request rotation suits harvesting product listings or search pages, because traffic spreads across many addresses instead of piling onto one. Sticky sessions suit sign-ins, shopping carts and forms spread over several pages, where the site expects one continuous visitor.

Labels are yours to invent. Setting the username to user-country-br-session-promo7 keeps one Brazilian IP for the session window, and changing the label to promo8 restarts on a new address, so every account can hold an IP of its own.

  • Fresh IP per request: bulk scraping, price monitoring
  • Sticky session: logins, checkout flows, account work
  • Renamed session: restart on a different IP

Proxy types compared: which of the 7 fits your job?

The quickest test is whether your job burns through many IPs or many gigabytes. Traffic-based products deduct the GB you consume, while IP-based products are ordered by quantity and term. Find the line below closest to your use case.

When unsure, run a small trial on rotating residential first, then add other products as needs appear. Since everything draws on the same wallet, switching products carries the remaining funds straight across.

  • Rotating residential ($0.72/GB): scraping, price comparison, SERP checks
  • Unlimited residential ($35.21 daily): very high volume collection
  • ISP proxies ($1.02 per IP monthly): long-lived accounts on fixed residential addresses
  • Dedicated datacenter ($0.57 per IP monthly): quick IPs nobody else touches
  • Shared datacenter ($0.0152 per IP monthly): light tasks needing huge IP counts
  • IPv6 proxies ($0.0762 per IP monthly): bulk requests to IPv6-ready sites
  • Mobile 4G/5G ($2.02/GB): app testing and carrier IP checks

Residential proxy cost: how much should a month take?

A monthly budget comes down to two inputs: expected traffic and the number of fixed IPs. Residential traffic runs $0.72 per GB and an ISP proxy costs $1.02 per IP each month, so adding the two gives your figure.

Say you plan 100 GB of residential traffic plus 10 ISP proxies for account management. Traffic comes to $72.00 and the ten ISP IPs to $10.20 for the month, a total of $82.20. Funding through the $100 card brings 20% extra, so you start at $120 and still hold $37.80 after the plan runs.

Leftover funds roll into next month with no expiry date. If traffic lands below your estimate, less is deducted, so a generous first guess is low risk. Scaling up fixed IPs works the same way: multiply the unit price by the count. The proxy pricing page breaks down every product in more detail.

Proxy server by country: how are country and city chosen?

Location is written into the username itself. Use user-country-fr for a French IP, or user-country-ca-city-toronto to narrow it to Toronto. Host and port remain fixed, so relocating a job takes one edit.

Residential coverage spans 60 countries and 175 cities. Mobile proxies cover 56 countries with carrier IPs; insert type-mobile, for example user-type-mobile-country-de. Datacenter and IPv6 plans are delivered in whichever of the 18 available countries you select at checkout.

City targeting pays off when location changes the answer: local search results, regional prices, ads shown per market. If spelling slows you down, the dashboard's connection builder lets you choose from a list and fills in the username for you.

  • France: user-country-fr
  • Toronto, Canada: user-country-ca-city-toronto
  • Brazil with a session: user-country-br-session-promo7
  • German mobile: user-type-mobile-country-de

Proxy setup for Python, Scrapy and antidetect browsers: does it plug in?

Yes, practically any tool with a field for a proxy address will take it. The gateway gate.proxytow.com:7000 answers both HTTP and SOCKS5, so choose whichever protocol your software prefers. The username carries location and session, while your account token fills the password slot.

Choose a country, city and session in the dashboard and the connection builder produces four formats together: HTTP, SOCKS5, a colon-separated line with host, port, username and token, and a curl command. Code usually wants the HTTP string, browser profiles want the colon-separated line, and the curl command makes a fast terminal check before anything else.

Scraping frameworks need the address written once in middleware or launch options, then every request inherits it. In antidetect browsers, giving each profile its own session name keeps a distinct IP per profile.

  • Python requests
  • Node.js, Puppeteer
  • Scrapy
  • Playwright, Selenium
  • curl
  • Antidetect browsers, browser extensions

Pay for proxies with USDT: how do TRC20 top-ups and bonuses work?

Funding happens in USDT over TRC20. Pick an amount and the dashboard returns a deposit address and an exact sum to six decimal places, and that request remains valid for 60 minutes. Transfer that precise sum and your balance rises after the network confirms it.

Bigger top-ups unlock bigger bonuses, following the ladder $100 +20%, $200 +25%, $300 +30%, $500 +35%, $1,000 +40%, $3,000 +45%, $5,000 +50%. For instance, the $200 card adds 25%, leaving $250 to spend. Because the bonus is worked out on the amount funded, larger cards stretch each dollar further.

Each top-up sits between a minimum of $20 and a maximum of $10,000. Eight cards run from $20 to $5,000, and the $300 card carries the recommended badge. Starting small to confirm the connection, then moving to a larger card once workload is clear, makes the most of the bonus.

Order ISP proxies and unlimited plans: how does checkout work in the dashboard?

IP products and unlimited residential live in the Buy products area of your dashboard. Quantities range from 1 to 500 for ISP, 1 to 1,000 for dedicated datacenter, 10 to 5,000 for shared datacenter and 10 to 10,000 for IPv6, with a term chosen from 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Unlimited is sold as 1 day, 7 day or 30 day passes.

Payment comes out of the balance at checkout, and the order shows up in My orders marked Being prepared. When activation finishes it flips to Active and the connection details for that product show up next to it. Every order's progress sits on one screen.

Should an order get canceled or refunded, everything you paid is credited back, ready for another plan or for residential traffic.

  • Order placed: paid straight from balance
  • Being prepared: product is being set up
  • Active: copy the details and connect
  • Canceled or refunded: amount back in balance

Proxy account security: how do you protect your access token?

Your ProxyTow account opens with a single pw_ token. It unlocks the dashboard and also authenticates every proxy connection, so there is just one secret to guard. During sign-up you either copy the token or save it as a .txt file, check the box confirming you saved it, and the account is then created.

Only a hash of the token sits on the server, not the token itself. Server records alone cannot reveal it, which also makes your first saved copy the one true key. A password manager plus one other safe spot is a sensible home for it, and signing in on a new device is just a matter of pasting the token.

A single IP address can register at most 3 accounts. Teams can divide work among those accounts and pass each token privately to whoever needs it. A personal vault beats a shared document every time.

Getting started with proxies: what happens in your first 10 minutes?

Going from sign-up to your first proxied request takes a handful of steps. Follow the order below and within ten minutes you can watch a residential IP answer your own request. All you need is a USDT wallet and one tool to plug the proxy into.

Start with a small card to confirm the connection, then move to a larger card for a bigger bonus once your real workload is clear. After the test, the balance screen shows what was used so you can plan the next step. If questions come up, support tickets become available once an account's first top-up is credited.

  • Register and keep your token in two places.
  • Fund any card amount in USDT TRC20.
  • Check the balance once the deposit lands.
  • Choose a country and session in the connection builder.
  • Paste the curl line into a terminal to test.
  • Load the same details into Python or a browser profile.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about sign up, pricing, connections and accounts.

See all questions
  • What does a residential proxy do?

It routes your traffic over IPs that ISPs hand out to regular households. To a website you look like someone browsing from home, which means fewer blocks than with server IPs.

  • What does sign up require?

One access token, which the registration screen hands you. It serves as your login and doubles as the proxy password. We display it a single time, so store it in a .txt file.

  • Which proxy should I pick first?

Residential proxies are the natural starting point for scraping and checks. Pick ISP proxies when an address has to stay fixed for a long stretch, and datacenter proxies when speed and low cost matter most.

  • How much is the smallest top up?

Top ups start at $20. Every proxy type shares one balance, and a top-up bonus applies from $100.

  • How am I charged?

Residential and mobile bill your balance for each GB you send or receive. ISP, datacenter and IPv6 get ordered through the dashboard by IP quantity plus term, while unlimited residential is booked per day.

  • Can one IP stay with me across a task?

Yes. On residential and mobile, adding a session label to your username holds the IP for as long as 90 minutes. For a fixed address over a whole month, ISP proxies are the pick.
