IPv6 proxy basics: how are they different from IPv4 proxies?
An IPv6 proxy sends your requests out through an address from the 128 bit IPv6 scheme. IPv4 space is finite and keeps getting pricier, while IPv6 space is vast, so large blocks can be issued cheaply. You will recognise the format by its long, colon separated look, such as 2001:db8::1.
The key difference is reach. An IPv6 proxy can only talk to sites that accept IPv6, whereas datacenter and residential plans use familiar IPv4 and open almost any page. Big search engines, video platforms and major social networks are among the growing list of services listening on IPv6.
So this product is strongest when your destination is fixed and that destination supports IPv6. Shared datacenter is the budget pick within IPv4. IPv6 is the volume pick for IPv6 ready targets.
